What is E-Friends?

E-friends Eigomura was launched in 2009 to improve international communication in Kamiamakusa city, Kumamoto ken, Kyushu, Japan.

E-friends Eigomura motto is “Let's have fun” we aim to introduce the citizens of Kamiamakusa old and young to the English language through activities, international talks and events.

We use our motto “Let's have fun” to break away from the confined teachings of the class room and make our classes a relaxed environment so people can think free without the pressure of thinking English. E-friends number one goal is all about communication!

March week 3

Hello all,

This week we planted some pumpkin seeds to prepare for another peter pumpkin planting day. This year we have used the seeds from the Halloween pumpkin we had at the Halloween party, so hopefully, come October we will have many big orange pumpkins to make Jack-O-Lanterns...Fingers crossed.

It was our last visit to Amura nursery school as next month it closes. We had a fun last lesson with lots of singing. I even tried out some new songs that I have never played before for the kids, They really enjoyed them a lot. The kids presented me with a thank you poster that had their class pictures attached.

Kids class this week was messy but fun. We did finger painting, which turned into hand painting for some of the kids. Some of the 4th grade pictures at Ryugatake were great. The kids became aware of the word finger during the lesson and also practised other body parts.

We ended the week by going to Hikari nursery school. The kids were very energetic especially the younger class who are able to do a nice rendition of head, shoulders, knees and toes.

Will post more news soon,
