Hello Everybody,
It has been a while since we have updated the website, but the reason is a good one. It is because we have been busy preparing for some big events that were happening throughout August.
The biggest event was E-friends international summer camp which happened on 18th 19th and 20th of August. This year was the 2nd time we have held the camp and this year was just as good as last, if not better. The camp lasted 3 days 2 nights, which was longer than last years camp meaning we had more time to practice for international night and do more activities such as T-shirt making, treasure hunt game and craft making. The kids had a chance to meet different people from all over the world. This year we had teachers from Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Australia. Please check out the photos here.
E-Friends also joined Amura Elementary school's 6th grade camp event. We went hiking around Eigomura and did various other activities. The kids had many questions after listening to my talk about Great Britain. Early the next morning we made boomerangs and hemp bracelets. Photos can be viewed here.
At the beginning of the month we had an activity day for Kumon at E-Friends house (aroma). The morning started with a word hunt, the kids had to search the play area for flash cards and try to remember the word for later when they would have to answer questions. The Kumon kids did excellent as they knew all the flashcards and were able to complete the game with full points. In the afternoon we had craft time which was a great chance to chat with the kids and parents. Photos can be viewed here.
